You will join a mature and dynamic team of system engineers with a lot of experience within user network domain. Given the different domains managed within the team, learning opportunities are always available.

As a Systems Engineer, you will focus on the application side of the VPN and Wi-Fi infrastructure. You will be part of a systems engineering team that is responsible for a scalable, maintainable, highly available user network.  Our team is responsible for end-user connectivity technologies like (SD)WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewalls. This for all Belgian sites and some international sites. The data center network is managed by another team.

What we expect from You:

• You like to investigate complex incidents, provide support during change projects.
• You perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security configurations.
• You monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• You monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• You work within an established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• You select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
• You interact with vendors and other IT personnel to solve problems.
• You configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS)

Your key strengths? 

• You have extended knowledge of Wi-Fi and/or LAN.
• Knowledge in more than one of the following domains is a plus: (SD)WAN, NAC, Firewalling, Cloud Integration and Scripting.
• You have a flexible mindset. You are prepared to participate in on-call duties and are open to implement changes outside business hours if required. You prioritize your work in function of incidents.
• You enjoy working as part of a team.
