KBC Bank, the parent company of the Hungarian K&H Bank, provides banking services in 5 European countries. The international IT solutions of the banking group, covering several European countries, takes place with Hungarian and Belgian colleagues in Hungary and Belgium, therefore not only our services are international, but also our teams. Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation. We are constantly expanding the Hungarian side of the team, which is why we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated new employees with junior, medior or possibly senior work experience.

 

The Interchange team is part of the KBC Services & Infrastructure department. In this team we provide the service to interchange data between business applications by managed file transfer within KBC Group (internal gateway) and external partners (external gateway). The team is responsible for building file transfer frameworks and the necessary tooling to automate and manage file transfer. It also takes care of internal and external file transfer setups for our customers.

 

What your job will  be:

  • Within Interchange MFT you will work as a systems engineer.
  • Together with your colleagues you work in a challenging and changing environment.
  • You immediately receive operational assignments and the associated responsibilities, and thus get to know the systems in order to grow further.
  • After on the job training and an introduction period you will be responsible for setting up, installing and maintaining the middleware components on open systems, Zos and cloud. This brings you in contact with all possible aspects of file transfer.
  • A selection from the range of tasks:
    • manage and update the current file transfer frameworks,
    • assisting the other ICT teams in setting up new transfers,
    • establishing, maintaining and troubleshooting external and internal file transfer connections,
    • incident & problem management follow-up on reducing recurring issues.
  • The job consists of new development, bug fixing and maintenance, writing and updating documentation. This is a context where we focus on automation and self-service.
  • You will be working in a team, consisting of senior and medior profiles.
  • There is intensive collaboration within the team, both with the other engineers, the product owner, system architect and scrum master.
  • You will be supported to make sure that you can start working on your first tickets as soon as possible.

What we expect from You:

  • Solid experience with Linux.
  • System engineering (compute, network, storage) background.
  • Experience working in an agile context using JIRA/Kanban.
  • Relevant experience in a file transfer context and knowledge of file transfer concepts, ranging from certificates, codepages, protocols.
  • Scripting skills are a plus.
  • Focused on quality, performance, safety and stability.
  • Not discouraged by existing limitations and always looking for solutions.
