Senior OpenShift Engineer

KBC Group provides banking services in 5 European countries.
The international IT solutions of the banking group, covering several European countries, takes place with Hungarian and Belgian colleagues in Hungary and Belgium, therefore not only our services are international, but also our teams. 
Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation.

What your job will be:

• Manage and support Linux servers and our RedHat container platforms (OpenShift/Kubernetes)

• Automate deployment pipelines and system configurations.

• Troubleshoot and provide 2nd and 3rd line support.

• Monitor system performance and capacity.

• Perform upgrades, patches, and security configurations.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CICD processes.

• Document and share knowledge within the team.

   

What we expect from You:

• 5+ years of experience with Linux (RedHat Enterprise Linux)

• 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes (OpenShift) and Docker or Podman.

• Scripting skills (Bash, Ansible, Python, Terraform)

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

• Profound understanding of networking and security concepts.

• Experience with CICD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Flexible, resilient, and collaborative mindset but dares to challenge and speak up.

• Good verbal communication skills in English.

• Security first mindset.

• Project oriented thinking.

• Ownership of technology and features.

   

What you can expect during the recruitment process:

• After sending your CV in English, expect a three-round interview process, one online with our local recruiter,  one online in English with the Belgian team leader, and the final round is in person at our office in Budapest (in Hungarian) to get to know each other better.
