Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation.
We are constantly expanding the Hungarian side of the team, which is why we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated new employees with junior, medior or possibly senior work experience.
What the team is doing:
The team is creating the building blocks for installing Windows machines. Within the HPC team you will be working as a Windows systems engineer with primary focus on the maintenance, management, expansion and onboarding of the Windows framework built at KBC group.
The Team's tasks & responsibilities:
- Design, build and promote our Windows framework to the rest of the organization, next to the other tools of the HPC platform.
- Follow up the market about security tools and share experiences.
- Follow up security recommendations (proactively and reactively) and minimize or mitigate the operational risks.
- Do problem solving
- Capture the needs of our internal customers and reflect the findings to our domains.
- Implement and maintain the Windows environment at KBC BE.
What your job will be:
- You perform maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes and security configurations.
- You monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- You monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- You work within an established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes
- You select and implement management tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
- You interact with vendors and other IT personnel to solve problems.
- You configure and install various devices and services
- You realize various and multiple system engineering activities such as preparation, design, build, testing, installation, run, incident and problem handling of (changes on) technological systems/products/services and other system related infrastructural activities.
- You have strong problem solving skills in a Windows environment .
- You have good knowledge of device management technologies with a view to integration, configuration and maintenance.
- Knowledge of modern endpoint platforms is a benefit (Azure, Intune, SCCM, GPO management, virtualization technologies)

What we expect from you:
- Windows System Engineer skills.
- Solid understanding of security and networking implementation and best practices.
- Experience in scripting is a must. Automation in the job is key. (e.g.: PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- You're assertive, convincing and diplomatic at the same time.
- You have strong organizational and self-management skills.
- You love taking ownership and you have a high level of autonomy.
- You also have strong communication skills in English due to the fact you will interact with a lot of international colleagues.
