The KBC Services and Infrastructure division (SIN) decided on a nearshore HR strategy based on 2 locations: the core internal workforce is based in Belgium and in Hungary. Therefore not only our services are international, but also our teams.

Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation. We are constantly expanding the Hungarian side of the team, which is why we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated new employees with medior or possibly senior work experience.

What your job will be:

• Participate in the automatization direction the organisation is moving to.
• Design, build and promote all the necessary technical components to obtain a stable and secure MS SQL database environment.
• Follow up security recommendations (proactively and reactively) and minimize the operational risk.
• You help the concerned teams with their operational issues : performance investigations, database stability, etc.
• As you work for a Bank Company, you need to follow strict the security policies (tools allowed to use, authorization policies)
• You participate in the on call organization and are willing to work outside business hours (mostly planned interventions)

What we expect from you:

• You have DevOps experience to support the team towards IAC.
• Programming and scripting languages : Python, T-SQL, Powershell or Perl (used in legacy scripts)
• Knowledge of MS SQL 2019 and MS SQL 2022.
• Knowledge of Windows 2019 and Windows 2022.
• Knowledge of VMWare.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Always On High Availability.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• You are security minded.
• You are assertive, convincing and diplomatic at the same time.
• You have strong organizational and self-management skills.
• You can work under pressure as you are working with operational systems.
• You are a team player but also able to work independently.
• You are prepared to work outside business hours.
• You are used to work in a SAFE organization.

What you can expect during the recruitment process:

• After sending your CV in English, expect a three-round interview process, one online with our local recruiter,  one online in English with the Belgian team leader, and the final round is in person at our office in Budapest (in Hungarian) to get to know each other better.
