KBC Bank, the parent company of the Hungarian K&H Bank, provides banking services in 5 European countries. 

The international IT solutions of the banking group, covering several European countries, takes place with Hungarian and Belgian colleagues in Hungary and Belgium, therefore not only our services are international, but also our teams.  

Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation. 

We are constantly expanding the Hungarian side of the team, which is why we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated new employees with junior, medior or possibly senior work experience. 

What the team is doing:  

A firewall and network engineer does a mixture of create activity and operations on our network security infrastructure. 
“Create” work are small and larger projects to update and improve our firewalls and internet connectivity. Operations is a mixture of request and incident handling, and participation in an on-call schedule. 
The network security team is part of a larger organization that manages the data centers for the KBC Group, servicing European entities of the Group. We are in Hungary and Belgium, both with data centers and staff. 

What your job will be: 

• You participate in projects and implementations of telecom infrastructure

• You collaborate with colleagues from other teams 

• You’re involved in the daily operational management of a broad range of telecommunication components. 

• You’ll be part of our organization to cover both support and implementations outside of business hours. This is how we implement 24/7 availability.

What we expect from you: 

• You have a bachelor or master degree in ICT, or relevant prior experience

• You have knowledge of several of these topics : Firewalling, load balancing, DMZ setup, DDOS protection

• We work with : Palo Alto, Check Point, F5, Akamai, Cisco (ACI).

• Routing and switching, basic networking services on an enterprise level including BGP and OSPF

• Your English language skills are good.

• Automation skills (e.g. python, REST APIs, authentication, ..) are a plus. 

What you can expect during the recruitment process: 

• After sending your CV in English, expect a three-round interview process, one online with our local recruiter,  one online in English with the Belgian team leader, and the final round is in person at our office in Budapest (in Hungarian) to get to know each other better.
