KBC Group, the parent company of the Hungarian K&H Bank, is a leading European financial group with a focus on providing bank-insurance products and services to retail, private banking, SME and mid-cap clients, in our core countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Bulgaria. The KBC Services and Infrastructure division (SIN) decided on a nearshore HR strategy based on 2 locations: the core internal workforce is based in Belgium and in Hungary. Therefore not only our services are international, but also our teams. Our responsibilities range from day-to-day operation to application development and its operation. We are constantly expanding the Hungarian side of the team, which is why we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated new employees with junior, medior or possibly senior work experience.

As a TAM (Technical Application Management) Engineer you will often be the ‘face’ of underlying infrastructure services, so a customer-centric mindset, good communication skills and some level of diplomacy is crucial. As current TAM activities represent an important part of the ‘Ops’ in ‘DevOps’, the TAM teams will also play an important role in evolving our KBC IT organization towards a more DevOps way of working, assisting Dev teams in consuming automated/self-provisionable infrastructure assets and consulting Infra teams towards more/better automation of infra services. From a process point of view, we are mainly active in the change/release, incident/problem, DRP/BCM processes and play an instrumental role in operating, evolving and testing these processes. As the TAM teams are maintaining infrastructure services for business critical ‘24/7’ applications, some aspects of the work need to happen outside business hours or during the weekend. We are also running a 24/7 on-call duty to which you will be added once you have reached the required expertise/environmental knowledge levels to operate more independently.

What we expect from You:

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
• Very good English, both spoken and written.
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• You are assertive, convincing and diplomatic at the same time.
• You have strong organizational and self-management skills. You love taking ownership and you have a high level of autonomy.
• You also have strong communication skills, both for interacting with your colleagues and with your internal customers/stakeholders.
• You are well acquainted with online collaboration tooling & according mindset.
• You are ready to do on-call duties 1 week per 1,5-2 months.

• After sending your CV in English, expect a three-round interview process, one online with our local recruiter,  one online in English with the Belgian team leader, and the final round is in person at our office in Budapest (in Hungarian) to get to know each other better.
